Waterfront Homes in Superstition Springs in Mesa
This Mesa lake community is a hidden treasure among lake communities in the Phoenix area. First of all, Mesa doesn’t have a lot of lake communities or waterfront communities, so potential buyers may not think to look in Mesa. Secondly, it has less than 70 waterfront lot homes, so the community is not well known among lake communities. These lake subdivision homes, mostly single story, represent some of the most affordable and best values in waterfront property in the valley.

Chandler Luxury Waterfront Homes in Ocotillo Gated Communities
If you’re looking for single story luxury homes in a gated lake subdivision, then Balboa Point, Catalina Shores, or Laguna Cove may be the right place to start. These TW Lewis homes are situated on lots that range in size from 9,000 to 10,000 sq.ft. for a standard lot. Balboa Point and Catalina Shores are almost exclusively single story homes while Laguna Shores is over 60% single story homes. A private pool is almost a sure thing for prospective buyers since 70% – 85% of the homes have a pool depending on the subdivision. If your timing is right you may even be able to find a basement home in Catalina Shores.

Ahwatukee Lakefront Community at Lakewood
The Lakewood waterfront community is at the entrance to the Ahwatukee Foothills of Phoenix. Ahwatukee has been considered by some as the world’s largest cul-de-sac. You can enter via Ray, Chandler Blvd., or Pecos and those are also the streets by which you will exit. This highly desireable area and community is only 2 miles from the I-10 and loop 202 freeway. Another advantage is Kyrene de los Lagos Elementary is located within this 1 square mile development.

McQueen Lakes in Chandler Lake Community Homes
McQueen Lakes is located 3 miles south of the 202 freeway on McQueen Road in Chandler. This lake subdivision has 90 homesites with 20 that can be considered waterfront. The lake is the first thing you see when you enter from McQueen Rd. Most of the homes were built in 2005 by Trend Homes which unfortunately was at the height of the Phoenix real estate bubble. Thanksgiving and Gratitude
Thanksgiving was a great day; getting together with family, ignoring caloric content, catching a movie, and being thankful for my blessings. It’s always good, even necessary, to stop and be grateful, at least for a day.

Crystal Gardens and Garden Lakes in Avondale
Some of the most affordable lakefront homes in the Phoenix area are found in the Avondale lake communities of Crystal Gardens and Garden Lakes. Even though they are adjacent to each other, they are very different. The lake of Crystal Gardens is actually an ecosystem wetland project consisting of 72 acres that recharge SRP and CAP water into underground aquifers. Garden Lakes is the more mature and traditional lake community with 2 lakes totalling 37 acres with the majority of homes being built during 1987 – 1993, while Crystal Gardens homes were built during 1999 – 2002. Crystal Gardens does not allow boats while Garden Lakes does.

Avondale Lake Community – Garden Lakes
Directly north of one Avondale waterfront community, Crystal Gardens, is Garden Lakes, a lake community that was built between 1987 and 1993. The entire subdivision including both the north and south lakes measure over 1 square mile. North lake waterfront homes number over 130 while south lake waterfront home are approximately 100. Garden Lakes builders include UDC, Pulte, and Continental.
