Previously, I’ve attempted to make a list of lakes where boating, kayaking, and canoeing are permitted and which lakes are larger and more conducive to boating. What kind of fish are in Phoenix man made lakes?
When it comes to maintaining the lakes in Phoenix lake communities, is it done by chemicals or is there a more ecologically balanced way to take care of the lakes? Dumping chemicals into lakes is expensive and the results are short lived. The more environmentally friendly solution involves choosing specific species of fish that address the needs of urban man made lakes at a fraction of the costs of chemicals. You may even call them “utility fish” because of their utilitarian function of keeping the lakes ecologically maintained.

What makes a Gilbert waterfront home great? – The View
One of the most important criteria for a waterfront home is not the curb appeal as you drive up to the house, but the view from the backyard looking out on the lake. Even though an appraiser may not be able to quantify this view, waterfront home buyers understand the importance of a view that extends more than 100 feet from the shoreline. The Islands is also a true boating community that allows boating for lakefront residents with pontoon boats as you can see from the picture to the right.

Phoenix Water ski lake communities overview
Instead of focusing exclusively on one water ski lake community, let’s take a quick look at an overview of lakes that allow water skiing and wake boarding in the Phoenix valley. These are different from the majority of lake communities because the water has to be “full body contact” quality. The HOA may also require the owner to become a member of the AWSA and the community ski club. It may be the equivalent of taking a sleep aid pill, but read the CC&R’s so you’re not surprised when you learn you are required to carry $1,000,000 of comprehensive personal liability insurance related to the lake and the activities thereon.

What I thought would be a 20 minute stay quickly turned into an enjoyable hour watching our two small dogs run un-leashed in the fenced enclosures and remind us how afraid of the water they are. The dog in the picture is not either one of them. Here’s a quick video of a water loving dog
