Gilbert Regional Park

The 272 acre regional park in south Gilbert opened it’s doors to the intial 30 acre phase on Sept. 21, 2019. The completion of Gilbert’s regional park that will include a water park with a sand beach, surf lagoon, and swimming areas is slated for 2021.

Gilbert Regional Park will include a 25 acre water park

Phase 1A opened to the public on Sept. 21, 2019 and includes a 17 foot tall play structure named “The Mountain” and 4,000 sq.ft. splash pad with 57 water features.  This 30 acre start is just the beginning. This will be follow by Phase 1B scheduled to open in the summer of 2020 and will include a 7 acre lake, pavillon/amphitheate, 10 acre event lawn, 16 pickleball courts, 6 tennis courts, 2 basketball courts and 6 sand volleyball courts.

The Strand @ Gilbert is a 25 acre water park that will feature water activities for all ages. The Strand @ Gilbert:

At build out the regional park will be 272 acres. Completion date for the park appears to be 2021 from what I’ve been able to read.  If you live in southeast Gilbert this will be a very accessible park to visit.  Other Gilbert park include Freestone Park near downtown Gilbert and Cosmo Dog park near the 202.
