Leisure World

Leisure World, a gated community in east Mesa is one of the older lake communities in Phoenix beginning in 
1972 and completing construction in 1994 with over 2,600 homes. The community center boast a wide range of activities including 2 golf courses in addition to the fitness center, pools, tennis, pickleball and bocce and basketball. Especially for townhouses, confirm the monthly HOA fees. Boating is not allowed in Leisure World. Many of the waterfront properties have a walking path between the property and the water so a better description would be “water view”.
Province
Province Homes for Sale (non-waterfront and waterfront)
The 32,000 sq.ft. community center at Province in the city of Maricopa has a full buffet of amenities including an indoor lap 
pool, outdoor pool, dry saunas, indoor and outdoor spas, steam room, and a cafe. Province is the newest active adult waterfront home community and is gated with guard access. Across the street is The Duke golf course. There is no boating in the Province lakes.

Canta Mia

Canta Mia, a newer gated lake community in Goodyear is part of Estrella Mountain Ranch so residents of the 55+ adult community of Canta Mia can enjoy the community centers of Estrella Mountain Ranch and the 29,000 sq.ft. Village Center in Canta Mia.

Sun Lakes

Sun Lakes a community of over 6,600 homes offers water view properties around man made lakes throughout the 55+ community while offering country club living by providing many 18 hole and 9 hole golf courses, driving ranges, five club houses, restaurants, heated community pools, hot tubs, numerous classes and clubs based on resident interests. It’s proximity to many Chandler amenities and the I-10 and 202 freeways also makes Sun Lakes a desirable location to consider. No boating is available in Sun Lakes.
Dawn Lake and Viewpoint Lake

Viewpoint Lake Waterfront Homes– Sun City
Dawn Lake and Viewpoint Lake in Sun City have access to the many community centers in Sun City. Both Viewpoint Lake and Dawn Lake feature true waterfront property that allow boating including pontoon boats. However, Dawn Lake is the only adult community in the Phoenix area that allows swimming.
